S Karthikeyan is an Electronic and communication Engineer from Guindy Engineering college, Anna university. He Has got vast experience as Scientist in the field of Design Verification and Validation of Avionics. He served in most admired organization in India, DRDO and retired as Group Director after serving over 30 years. He had privilege to contribute to the few of the national prestigious defence program like LCA, AEW&C, RUSTUM-II UAV, Boeing P-8I and other Western / Russian origin aircrafts UP-GRADE programs.

During his tenure in DRDO he obtained Master degree with specialization in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) from IIT, Kanpur. His core expertise remains DSP, RADAR, EW & navigational systems. As a certification scientist he also guided design and manufacture of aviation cables, batteries, power supplies, antenna, redome and other aircraft utilities for military use.

As recognition to his innovative/proactive indigenization contribution he has been accredited many awards and to name few are Technological group award for Multi Mode Radar in 2006 Gold medal and Commendation certificate for national Science Day oration-2007 and lab Scientist award 2016.

Coupled with his pre DRDO experience as Electrical Engineer from M/s Ashok Leyland, after his retirement from DRDO he continues to remain active by contributing in the field of avionics by guiding technical/academic groups to develop airborne systems to meet military certification standards.

He holds eight significant publications and delivered several lectures in many conferences/workshops. He also conducted many workshops in avionics field.
